The Tenzing Story
In 1953, a previously unknown Nepali guide defied normal
convention by guiding an equally unknown New Zealand
sheep farmer to become the first conqueror of Mount
Everest.
The
farmer was Edmund Hillary. His guide was Sherpa Tenzing.
A
combination of leadership, expertise, teamwork and
determination enabled these two men to achieve the
ultimate goal - to reach the very top of the world.
Almost 50
years later, Tim Mace decided to draw inspiration from
their achievement and challenge the premise that high
calibre marketing services are the sole privilege of big
brands
with big agencies and big budgets.
Drawing
from his 20 years of brand-building experience, Tim set
up Tenzing, a one-stop marketing shop to help brands -
whether small or large - to scale new peaks of
achievement.
By
combining Tim’s strategic skills with his extensive
network of high calibre specialist associates -
creative, production, PR and media experts - Tenzing
would be able to satisfy all its clients’ marketing
needs efficiently and at a fraction of the cost of the
big boys.
Here is a pictorial tribute
to that unique and memorable moment: (Tenzing is on the
